FAQ

Does Medicare pay for an eye exam?

Yes! Medicare does pay for your eye exams if there is a medical condition or diagnosis. Most people at the age of 65 and over will have conditions that are covered such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and hypertension.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most Medical insurances including BCBS, Humana, United Healthcare, Medicare, and all Medicare Advantage plans. We also accept Medicaid plans with the exception of Wellcare and Amerigroup.

We do not accept Vision plans such as Eyemed, Davis, or VSP. Glasses out-of-network benefits may be available for you to use in our optical.

Where do you perform cataract surgery?

We operate at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, a 2010 and 2015 small hospital of the year, using state of the art equipment. The operating room staff is very skilled and deliver service with southern hospitality, as if you were family. In Brunswick we operate at Seaside Surgical where quality patient care is delivered in a warm and welcoming environment.
